Accessing the Dream Realm.

Updated: Mar 29, 2019

Every person in the world has dreamed at some point in their life. You can ask anyone you know and they will tell you, 'Yeah I've dreamed before'. But why do we dream, what is the purpose? Where do dreams come from? You may be interested to know that we actually do enter into Heavenly realms when we sleep. This may sound new age to you, but I assure you this is not. In this article, and the next (dream realms 2) I will be sharing the scripture that I have uncovered that has lead me to believe that God speaks to us from Heavenly realms or takes us to these realms as needed in order to show us things. This may be far out there for some, but to others, this is just a premise that I hope will inspire you to research the matter for yourself. There is so much that we do not know that the bible has outlined for us. Now, let's take a look and see what has been earthed today.

Let's establish why we dream right off the bat. From a scientific standpoint it's proposed that dreams are our brain's way of processing information from the day. Studies have shown that every person dreams from 6-10 times per night. Psychologists believe that dreams are your souls way of revealing your souls feelings, thoughts, and desires. The truth of the matter is that dreams have a variety of different purposes and come from three different sources; God, Your soul, and the enemy. Since that is the case, then it would be logical to deduce that dreams are typically a supernatural encounter.

God gives us dreams for many reasons. I have found several verses where God gives us dreams to establish us a prophet, or to test the heart of a person with a prophetic revelation to see if they will lead the sheep astray (deut 13:1). Dreams come from the soul because we desire something and cause ourselves to dream it (Is. 29:8). Some dreams are warning dreams (Matthew 2:12), and still others are meant for instructing a person. Job 33 teaches us that God gives us dreams by speaking into our ears. He gives us dreams to steer us away from pride, turn us away from sin, direct us from the pit, or to keep us from getting ourselves killed. There are so many reasons why we dream and so many verses to support each. Dreams are integral part of our lives as Christians.

When we dream we do not simply process information in our brains. When we dream we enter into a Heavenly Realm. Now, you may be saying to yourself, "Whoa, Hold up! This is new age! NO, NO, NO! Not Today Satan!" Let me show you some biblical evidence that I have discovered that has lead me to this conclusion.

First of all, When God speaks, his words become a manifested reality and they will not return to him void or without accomplishing the purpose for which he spoke them. Job 33 tells us that God speaks to us, "14 For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, 16 he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings." The Hebrew word for speak in verse 14 means to speak, to counsel, or to command. Then the word translated in verse 16 as speak actually means to open, or unveil, or remove. God is speaking and removing our brains ability to interject and drown out his voice. He unveils our minds so that we can hear him, and in the same breath creates a temporary reality around us that allows to access his will, his plans, his heart, the areas of our heart he wants changed, and so much more.

There are two different words used for dream in the new testament, Onar and Enupnion. Onar is only used six times and five out of six times it is referring to an angelic visitation, and one is a warning to Pontius Pilate's wife. All through the bible we see that God or angels visited people in their dreams. I can understand that God can enter into us in order to give us dreams if he desired, but that seems contrary to Job 33 that states that God speaks dreams into our ears while we sleep. What threw me for a loop is how do angels get into our dreams? Demons enter flesh and demonize people, but I have not come across a verse where an unfallen angel enters a person's body. They have nothing in common with darkness. This is the conundrum that plagued me for a long while.

The Greek word Enupnion is where I finally found my answers. Enupnion is a composite of two greek words; En and Hupno. En means 1722 en (a preposition) – to be inside or within ; (figuratively) "in the realm (sphere) of," as in the condition in which something operates from the inside. The Greek word Hupno, simply means sleep. It is where the word hypnosis gets its origin. The breakdown of these two words show us that when we dream we enter into the "Realm of Sleep."

Studies have shown that the human brain responds to movies the same way that it would respond to something that was happening in real life. Other studies have shown that your brain reacts to dreams in the same manner. The same parts of the brain that light up during movies, or dreams, are the same parts that light up when you are seeing it in real life. This shows me that by studying brain waves during dreams, that dreams are the result of your brain responding to some external stimulant. This correlates to what the bible says about dreams coming from three sources, Enemy, soul, or God.

I believe that the realm of sleep is part of the Heavenly realms and is actually a temporary state that God creates when speak to us. Ephesians 2:6 states, " And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in (en) the heavenly realms in (en) Christ Jesus." Again, Ephesians 6:12 states, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in (en) the heavenly realms." There are separate realms of Heaven. This explains to us how angels can come to us in Dreams without having to enter into our physical body.

The sleep realm is either part of the first heaven, the earth, and part of the second Heaven. The first Heaven is the realm that mankind was given dominion over by God in Genesis 1, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth." God gave man a type of delegated authority. This means we were selected to be authorized representatives chosen to rule in place of God. We lost that dominion when we sinned, and this allowed the fallen angels access to this realm with a type of stolen authority (Luke 4:6).

Because this Realm is where the enemy of God was able to gain access, it is where Satan and his angels were cast after the great war in Heaven. Because the enemy resides in the first heaven (most of the enemy, some are in chains in Hell until they are released for judgement 2 Peter 2:4) this is why we have dark dreams (enemy dreams). Job 4:12-13 shows us that a shadowy figure appeared before Eliphaz while he was having night mares, “A word was secretly brought to me, my ears caught a whisper of it. Amid disquieting dreams in the night, when deep sleep falls on people," The message the enemy delivers lets you know this is the enemy of God. The message does not build up, nor does it edify.

Ephesians 4:29 declares, "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." The message delivered by the "form" is designed to tear down a man of God. The "Form" states that man can't be more righteous than God. That is true, but the purpose of sacrifice was to cover our sins so we could be righteous, then Jesus died and now we have become the righteousness of God. I could dissect that entire passage, but for times sake I will not. Needless to Say, God was not pleased with Eliphaz. it says in Job 42, "After the Lord had spoken these words to Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has." If that "Form" was correct with the message it delivered God would have no right to be angry with Eliphaz, nor would he be able to declare that They had spoken falsely because God cannot lie.

well, That is all have to share about the Realm of Dreams for now. I hope that this has been a blessing to you. As I learn more, as the Holy spirit teaches me, I will share with you the next revelation he gives me about the dream realm. Be blessed loved ones. Make sure you read part two for more revelation.
