Mission Aborted: God's Heart on Abortion.

Updated: May 5, 2019

Last night before I went to bed, I asked God to show me his heart on abortion. I had a dream that I was in a huge Church and I was part of the worship team. An old friend of mine from school was going to have a baby and he was part of the worship team as well. The worship leader wouldn't let him worship because he was "In sin" and not married but was expecting a child. They rejected him and wouldn't even recognize him and I saw in his heart that this troubled him. I tried to talk to the worship leader about it and they implied that I shouldn't reach out to him because he's in sin. He decided he was going to keep the child, do the right thing, work and raise the child. He was going to abandon his old lifestyle and become a responsible adult no matter what the cost was. All of his friends were trying to convince him that keeping the baby was a mistake. Michael looked worn out and tired but he wanted to do what was right. I talked to him and said, " Congratulations man! having kids changed my life so much, and it has been such a blessing. It isn't easy at first, but it's totally worth it."

His friends all teamed up on him and began telling him what a mistake it was to have a baby. He was in school, He was part of a worship team, he hadn't lived life yet, he wasn't ready to settle down, he couldn't party anymore, he wasn't making enough money, he didn't have a house yet, he wasn't married. He was tired and worn out from their harassment and he went outside to his trailer in the parking lot to rest. While he was asleep they hitched his trailer to Thomas' Truck and began to drive away recklessly without regard for anyone else. Michael left the church that abandoned him in a difficult time in his life and the enemy took advantage of the situation.

This dream was a revelation of God's heart on the issue of Abortion. He was showing me the state that the world is in where having a baby is considered to be a burden, an inconvenience, an option. The enemy of God tries to mask their intentions and make you feel like you are making the right decision because you don't want to mess up your life. All of the things that Mike's friends were talking about to convince him to not have the baby were cares of the world.

This is an age-old principle. In Mark 4:19 Jesus says, "And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful." That word for unfruitful is the Greek word akarpos. It means unfruitful, barren, profitless. The depth of that word is a whole revelation in and of itself.

In the old testament, God tells mankind to be fruitful and multiply. That is a commandment from God. In this age, we think that being fruitful just means have a lot of kids, but the truth is that this is a blessing from God. We learn from Psalms 127:3 that children are a reward from God. Similar to the Greek, the Hebrew word for reward means compensation, a fare, a reward, a benefit.

In Mark 4:19 Jesus makes note that the deceitfulness of riches is something that causes the seed to be choked out. We focus on the word of God as being the primary principle of the parable of the sower, but in actuality, this parable is about the condition of a person's heart. The good soil is the good heart that is open to receive and nourish the word of God and allow it to produce a harvest in its life.

In the dream I had the enemy, the friends of the world, are presenting to Michael all the cares of the world in order to convince and persuade him that for his own benefit he should not have children. They play on money, selfishness, not having a house, etc. All these things take a toll on him and he wants to just rest. At that moment where he fell asleep in the dream was where the enemy took advantage and took him where they wanted without regard for anyone else, or for the life of this child.

The kingdom of Heaven does not operate based on monetary reward. There is no money in Heaven. God is so rich that the roads are paved with Gold and the foundations of buildings are made of precious gemstones. Why would God need money to reward us? The world has corrupted the church's mindset of what is valuable and what is a reward from God. The truth of the matter is that giving is what gets you a reward. Sacrifice is what gives you a reward. Being a servant is what gets you a reward. And God does compensate you with money for these actions, but he also compensates us with a heavenly yield that is far more valuable than earthly riches.

Children are a reward from God. The Hebrew word for reward is sawkar which is a wage that is paid to someone. Since God isn't bound to give you money alone as a reward for the work you do, for the sacrifice you do, he gives you other life-enriching rewards that he himself says are a payment for what you have done in life.

Think about this, Children cause a person to work to provide for their kids. When you have kids you give of your time, you give of yourself, you sacrifice sleep, you sacrifice for their sakes, you become a servant meeting their needs, you would gladly lay your life down for the safety of your children and one day you see the reward of that sacrifice as they become successful, as they contribute to the world, as they bear your Grand Children, as you see them thrive and you are proud of them and they honor you in their actions. God has set it up so that his original command, "Be Fruitful and multiply," will result in blessings that innumerable and immeasurable.

Another thing that God revealed to me in the dream was the attitude of the church regarding Michael's unexpected reward from God. The whole dream took place in a church. This Church was huge and it represented the Body of Christ as a whole, his church. Michael was kicked out of the church and rejected completely because he was in sin. It is one thing to not let a person lead worship because they messed up, but it's different to disregard them at all in their time of need. Michael's rejection of the church was all it took for him to go from having made up his mind to do what was right and fall asleep and fall into the hands of the enemy.

I have seen this happen to people. They take one scripture from 1 Corinthians 5:10 and use it as a means to kick someone out of a church and cut them off from their lives forever. That's not the intention for this verse. At first glance it may seem like this is the case, but when we look at 2 Corinthians 2:5-11 we get a different perspective as to what Paul was talking about. " If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely. The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. Another reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes."

The only person that Paul specifically told the church at Corinth to cast out was the man that was involved in an incestuous relationship with his Father's wife. By law, even if it was his stepmother that is still incest. Paul shows in 2 Corinthians 2 that the church could discipline someone for a short period of time and still love them. Paul says that the Corinthians ought to forgive and comfort him so that he will not be overwhelmed with excessive sorrow. He instructs them to love this man and shows in verse 11 that this is to prevent Satan from outwitting us. The word used for outwitting in Greek is pleonekteo. This means to covet, overreach, get the better of (someone) by cunning. This word is showing that Satan's desire is to have this person so that He will gain a victory over him and defeat the church.

How could casting someone out of the church and not showing love to them cause Satan to have a victory over the church? I mean, You are doing what was commanded of you, right? Remember, Paul said to do it for a short period of time but then show them, love. If you just reject them completely then you, who is supposed to look like Jesus and be a re-presentation of Christ to the world, reject them, then Satan will make them feel as though God has rejected them. Separation from God-fearing Christians allows the enemy to get into a person's head and creates all kinds of strongholds.

In my dream, Michael was cast out and rejected. I was forbidden to reach out to him but I still did. I was the only person that tried to help him and encourage him. This resulted in him being given over to the cares of the world and being led off regardless of his will or the will of those around him. The enemy doesn't care who they hurt. They just care that they fulfill their agenda which is to steal from you.

God's heart is that we are his children, we are his portion, we are his inheritance. Like all parents, God has a plan for the life of his kids. He knows what he wants you to grow up to be, to do, and what you will be the very best at in life. Psalm 139 verses 14-16 state: "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you

when I was made in the secret place when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book

before one of them came to be."

As I was writing this I heard God's voice very audibly say, "What a sad day it is for me When I have to write in the book of my children, "Mission Aborted." This broke me... Be careful when you ask God what his heart is on a Topic because his emotions are much more intense than we can know. It actually grieves the heart of the Holy Spirit, It grieves the heart of God and Jesus to have to write in a child's book of life that they never had a chance, they would live 14 days, they would live in the womb 9 months and their plan for this world would be aborted, that after they had fought, survived an attempt on their life and been born alive that they would be allowed to die of exposure because they were unwanted by a mother or a doctor.

Abortion is an anti-Christ Spirit. It works hand in hand with Jezebel who attacks to the fruit of the vineyard. In 1 Kings 21, you see a physical manifestation of a spiritual attack as an attack on Naboth. The king of the Land, Ahab, wants the vineyard of Naboth. Naboth means the word of God. He refuses to give up his fruit to the wicked King so Jezebel creates a plan to appear like she's doing good but tells others to join her scheme and lie and play off people's hearts so that she can kill the word of God (Naboth) and steal his fruit to be devoured by the evil King. This is exactly what the Lawmakers are trying to do. Your children are your reward, they are your fruit, and the enemy wants to devour them. He wants to steal any reward that God has to give to you.

God's heart is never to bring judgment on a nation unless they have had every opportunity to repent and still been disobedient. God doesn't want to bring America back to him by "smiting" the wicked sinners. That's simply not his heart. If we want to change America and bring the U.S. back to God's original design for America, then we need to start by reforming the Body of Christ in America. When we begin to pray for our nation; when we begin to show people the same non-condemning love that saved a prostitute, a tax collector, a salty fisherman, and me and you, then we will see reformation. When we love unconditionally as God does, then we will see the next great movement of God. We will see not only God moving, but an entire generation moving, flowing, and living out the lifestyle of Christianity that God desires to see in America.
